The Itinerary: Day 1: The Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids Upon arrival to Cairo Airport our MR Travel Services representative will be waiting for you to pick you up to start your program by visiting The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities then taking your lunch at quality restaurant before going to the hotel (which is near the pyramids) to make your check-in and take your room. Day 3: Alexandria Over day trip from Cairo After breakfast, our Egyptologist guide will pick you up to Alexandria of 2 & half hours’ drive. Your first stop in this historic city will be The Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa which are the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt. Moving on, to visit Pompey’s Pillar dates back to the 3rd century. The column is the last of the remaining relics of the Serapis Temple during the Greco-Roman period; it is the biggest memorial column in Egypt. Then, you will go to get a photo stop at Qaitbey’s Castle, which is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast. The Citadel is situated at the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Then enjoy having lunch at a nice restaurant. After this trip you will be driven back to Cairo to get back to Cairo Railway Station to board the overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Luxor of ten hour trip (Dinner & Breakfast are included on board). Day 10: Sharm Sea cruise After breakfast, our representative is going to pick you up to revel in the sparkling waters and sunshine of the Red Sea on this full-day (8:30-17:00) Tiran Island cruise and snorkeling trip from Sharm el Sheikh. Aboard a comfortable boat, cruise to Tiran, an island in the southern Gulf of Aqaba famous for its beautiful corals, lagoons and marine life. On arrival, kick back and sunbathe, swim, snorkel and dive (optional) in the translucent waters as you wish. Float over multi-colored reefs, watch for exotic fish, rays and turtles, and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch on deck midway through before your return to Sharm. Towards the end of the afternoon, settle back on deck and return to dock at Sharm el Sheikh. Your experience then finishes with a drop-off at the start point. Evening: enjoy the night activities at your hotel! Day 11: Sharm Mount Sinai trip Refresh the entire day till the sunset at the beach or the swimming pools of your hotel. In the evening after dinner, you will be picked up by our guide on a 16-hour overnight trip from Sharm El Sheikh towards Mount Sinai & St. Catherine Monastery. Walk alongside a Bedouin guide and follow in Moses’ legendary footsteps; as you hike a narrow path to the mountain summit; watch the sun illuminate the Sinai Desert’s arid peaks and jumbled hills. Day 12: Sharm Mount Sinai trip After watching the sunrise, you will have around 30 minutes at the top before your walk down to the monastery Then a short guided tour of about 45 minutes around the monastery of St. Catherine whose high walls and devoted monks shelter Byzantine and Crusader art, ancient manuscripts and the the world’s oldest working library, and of course the Burning bush & Moses’ well.
