The Itinerary:

Day 1: The Egyptian Museum & Giza Pyramids

  • Upon arrival to Cairo Airport our MR Travel Services representative will be waiting for you to pick you up to start your program by visiting The Egyptian Museum of Antiquities then taking your lunch at quality restaurant before going to the hotel (which is near the pyramids) to make your check-in and take your room. Afternoon (if it would be available otherwise it could be done on the last day) you will be picked up again to Giza Pyramids. Firstly, you will see the largest pyramid of Khufu (Cheops), known as the Great Pyramid, is the only one of the Seven Wonders of the World that still survives. Next to the Great Pyramid are the pyramids of the son Chephren and the grandson Mycarinous, you’ll be able to take a close up look at the Sphinx, the legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex with its lion body and the head of King Chephren, the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, the place where the priests mummified the dead body of King Chephren, owner of the second pyramid.. In evening it will be a free time.

Day 2: Saqqara, Mohamed Ali Mosque, Old Coptic Quarter & Khan El Khalili bazzaar

  • After breakfast, our Egyptologist guide will pick you up to Saqqara (the necropolis of the Ancient Egyptians) of 30-minutes’ drive to view the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world’s oldest large-scale stone monument. There you will learn why it was built. You’ll enjoy lunch at a nice local restaurant, then proceed to visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque, which Situated on the summit of the Citadel of Salah El Din (constructed in 1183 AD), this Ottoman mosque is the largest to be built in the first half of the 19th century, and the most visible mosque in Cairo. Continue driving to the area The Old Coptic Quarter; first stop will be the Hanging Church which, built in the 7th century, this old church takes its name from its location: sited above a gateway in the old Roman fortress. Admire the courtyard and interior with its screens, marble pulpit and icons, and hear about its long history. Then proceed to visit Abu Serga church, where the holy family is said to have found refuge

Day 3: Alexandria Over day trip from Cairo

  • After breakfast, our Egyptologist guide will pick you up to Alexandria of 2 & half hours’ drive. You’ll enjoy personalized attention on your private tour of Alexandria. Your first stop in this historic city will be The Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa which are the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt. Moving on, to visit Pompey’s Pillar dates back to the 3rd century. The column is the last of the remaining relics of the Serapis Temple during the Greco-Roman period; it is the biggest memorial column in Egypt. Then, you will go to get a photo stop at Qaitbey’s Castle, which is considered one of the most important defensive strongholds, not only in Egypt, but also along the Mediterranean Sea coast. The Citadel is situated at the exact site of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria, which was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Then enjoy having lunch at a nice restaurant.
  • After this trip you will be driven back to Cairo to get back to Cairo Railway Station to board the overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Luxor of ten hour trip (Dinner & Breakfast are included on board).

Day 4: Luxor West bank & Cruise boarding

  • Upon your arrival to Luxor you will meet our representative at Luxor railway station to pick you up and to start your itinerary as following:
  • Visit the West Bank of Luxor (Kings Valley, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon).
  • 12:00 Board the Nile Cruise.
  • Lunch on board.
  • Dinner on board.
  • Overnight in Luxor.

Day 5: Luxor East bank & arrival to Edfu

  • Breakfast on board.
  • Morning: Visit The East Bank of Luxor after Breakfast (Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple).
  • Lunch on board.
  • Noon: Sail to Edfu, on route passing via Lock of Esna.
  • Dinner on board.
  • Evening: Enjoy the night activities on board.

Day 6: Edfu & Kom Ombo

  • Breakfast on board.
  • Morning: Visit of Edfu Temple (Horus temple) then Sail to Kom Ombo.
  • Lunch on board.
  • Afternoon: Visit of Kom Ombo Temple then sail to Aswan.
  • Dinner on board.
  • Evening: Enjoy the night activities on board.
  • Overnight in Aswan.

Day 7: Aswan

  • Breakfast on board.
  • Morning: Visit the High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple.
  • Lunch on board.
  • Afternoon: Felucca tour around Aswan Islands.
  • Dinner on board.
  • Overnight in

Day 8: Cruise check out & Optional tour to Abu Simbel

  • 8:00 am Check-out.
  • Breakfast on board.
  • Morning: (Optional) tour to the Great Temple of Abu Simbel built by the king Ramses II
  • Then our representative will take you to a hotel in Aswan to make your check-in
  • Overnight in Aswan. The hotel accommodation in Aswan is based on B&B.

Day 9: Flight back to Cairo & Departure back home

  • After breakfast and making check-out from your hotel you will be transferred to Aswan airport to fly back to Cairo airport where you will take your flight back home safely from the same airport.
